ADES (Association for Economic and Social Development) from Curtea de Arges, Romania, is a not-for-profit organization that became a legal entity (NGO) in June 1995. ADES’ mission is to create positive social and economic change in communities throughout Romania in a professional, ethical and responsible manner.

This mission is realized through the following goals: developing professional skills and increasing labor productivity, supporting SME development and expansion, as well as improving social and economic conditions in local communities.

Since 1995, ADES has successfully developed and implemented over 40 projects funded by the European Union (Phare, Structural Funds, Erasmus+), World Bank, US Embassy, European Business Development Program, Foundation for an Open Society, Charity Know How Fund etc. ADES has worked very closely with communities, funding sources, and implementing partners from Romania and from EU countries to implement socio-economic development projects. These partners have included Local Public Authorities, companies, NGOs, universities and schools.

Danmar Computers – Poland

Danmar Computers LLC is a private company operating in the field of Information Technology and providing vocational training in this field. Danmar has an extensive experience in developing modern Web and mobile applications that are used for educational purposes. Danmar also has long-term experience of carrying out European projects within which company’s R&D staff conducts research and prepares trainings tailored to the needs of various learners. Universitatea Din Pitesti – Romania

University of Piteşti (UPIT) is a state university situated in the Southern part of Romania, in the Argeş County (120 kilometers from Bucharest). It is a comprehensive university and has around 10,000 students. UPIT provides educational, training and research services, being an intellectual and academic community accredited by national and international quality agencies.

The areas in which the university is active are: education & training; scientific & applicative research; guidance & counseling; professional orientation; international cooperation in different fields; publishing activities.

University of Piteşti has about 700 staffs (academic and non-academic personnel). Its structure is composed of 6 faculties providing Bachelor, Master and PhD study programmes (www.upit.ro). The faculties are organized in departments. Beside faculties and departments, UPIT has also specialized units (Research Institute, Business and Technological Transfer Incubator, Institute for Training and Performance, Center for International Cooperation). It has previously participated and continues to be currently involved in a large number of transnational researches, mobility or strategic partnership projects (see www.cppdd.ro). UPIT represents a strong educational factor for the SMEs in the region, which usually search its support in solving their economical, technological or managing problems. Hanse – Parlament – Germany

The Hanse-Parlament is an association of 50 chambers of industry, commerce and crafts from 13 countries. The members represent more than 475,000 SMEs in the entire Baltic Sea region. The Hanse-Parlament is dedicated to strengthening the economic performance of the Baltic Sea region in general and promoting SMEs in particular. The improvement of vocational training in the EU is a particular priority. A powerful secretariat based in Hamburg serves as a service center, think tank and development department. With the involvement of SME representatives, the Hanse-Parlament is constantly developing new support measures, especially in the area of vocational training. It is testing the measures with individual partners and then transferring them to all members. The members receive training for the trainers as well as intensive implementation advice from the Hanse-Parlament. In this way, new demand-oriented support measures are developed and implemented permanently throughout the Baltic Sea region with a broad impact.

The Hanse-Parlament has been in existence since 1994, international cooperation is well established, and a high level of sustainability is achieved through the organization as an association. On the initiative of the Hanse-Parlament, the Baltic Sea Academy was founded in 2010, to which 17 universities from 9 Baltic Sea countries belong. The members of the Baltic Sea Academy carry out dual study programs as well as research and development tasks for SMEs. Together with the members of the Hanse-Parlament, they effectively shape knowledge and innovation transfer. The Baltic Sea Academy is a department of the Hanse-Parlament.
